Lei Making Class
A lei making class is the perfect way to get a group of friends, family members or even strangers together for a fun, creative activity.

Escape to Hawai'i for a couple hours and learn how to sew a lei and lei po'o (flower crown) as you learn a little bit about Hawaiian culture and the aloha spirit, after all, we could use a little more aloha (love) in this world.
Details:
-Class Duration: 1.5-2 hrs

-Participants will be able to make a lei and if time allows, a second lei or lei po'o.
​
-All tools will be provided (flowers, string, needle, scissors, etc.)
​
-Location will be discussed. Extra travel charge for anything outside the greater Boston area.
​
-Food and drinks are not provided but are allowed!
What to Expect/FAQs
The goal of the class is for everyone to have fun and to make a beautiful lei. Want it to be a casual experience with drinks (think happy hour)? Great! Want the class to be more focused? No problem either. Maile can cater the class to the overall desires of the group.

The class will start with a brief introduction, quick history about the lei and its meaning in Hawaiian culture. Then we will dive into the lesson.

NEVER MADE A LEI? No problem! Participants will be guided through each and every step.
​
AREN'T LEIS FOR WOMEN? No! Leis are for EVERYONE, men, women, and children. Leis are given and worn for many different reasons. You'll learn more about it in the class, but basically a lei is a symbol of love.
​
IS IT KID FRIENDLY? Absolutely! Lei making classes are appropriate for all ages.
